We love having our grandchildren come to visit us. We're so grateful for the opportunity to see one of them on a fairly regular basis because he lives nearby. Patrick is our second grandchild (and second grandson). He's 22 months old and VERY verbal. Be careful because he'll repeat everything you say.
He comes to Grandma's house to get his haircut every few weeks. We wet his hair with a spray bottle before we cut it. During the last haircut he wasn't very happy, so we let him hold the water bottle to keep him entertained. He thought that was pretty fun! When his haircut was finished, he chased some of his aunts and uncles around the house, trying to spray them with the bottle. That was even better!!!
Yesterday he was able to stay with us while his parents took a short trip out of town. While he was here he found the spray bottle on the counter. We caught him wandering through the house spraying the squirt bottle. There was just the slightest problem...
His aim was just a little off!
He had a grand time running around chasing everyone, pointing the spray bottle at them with a mischievous little grin on his face. It's just that the squirt bottle was aiming the wrong way! Minor technicalities. It didn't dampen his spirit a bit, though. He loved it!!!
I really enjoy watching Patrick grow up. He's such a cutie! He's a precious little guy and makes us smile all the time.
Lord, thank you for the blessing of grandchildren. You've so richly poured out your blessings on us through our children and now our grandchildren. I also enjoy watching his parents as they train him. Thank you for their faithfulness in training him for your glory. Thank you that he has grandparents and lots of aunts and uncles who all want to see him grow up to love and serve you. May we all be faithful to the calling you've set before us, and may the arrows you've placed into our hands always be aimed in the right direction.

"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." Psalm 127:3-5

Hee. Goodness he looks like a Ferrill. No mistaking the genetic connection there! He's a cutie!
I love it! I'm laughing!
And I love your prayers you write at the bottom of each post, Sandy. You need to write a book of prayers for children. 'Cause I can just read these and insert my children's names and it just expresses my heart.
Blessings!
Love,
Laine
